Nico Hulkenberg

Nico Hulkenberg comes to F1 off the back of a successful GP2 campaign where he is the only driver since Lewis Hamilton to win the GP2 championship in his first season. He achieved a similar feat in A1 GP where he took team Germany to the title.

Nico Hulkenberg joins the Williams team for 2010 and has the most experienced driver in F1 alongside him in Rubens Barrichello. It’s a fantastic place to start his F1 career, he will have a team that has the capacity to teach him all he needs to know and will have a car that he can compete in rather than being stuck at the back of the grid.

He seems to enjoy success in all the other formula right from the start so expect at lot from this young German who reminds Willi Webber so much of Michael Schumacher. He’ll have plenty of competition from the other German drivers this year for support but he’s going to be a star of the future not doubt. This year he must concentrate on learning F1, learning to give the right feedback and how to get results, he’s in the best place to do it and perhaps he’ll shine enough for one of the big teams to pick him up.
