Nico Rosberg

Nico Rosberg has always had a lot to live up to given his heritage, he’s done pretty well at that too. With Williams he’s managed to get two podiums and get on the front row of the grid – he’ll be hoping to take that further with Mercedes to clinch that elusive first victory and pole position then onto a title to emulate his father.

Having Michael Schumacher as a team mate will show how good he is, he can learn a lot from Schumacher even if he does beat him. Schumacher’s approach to F1 seems to breed success and those that learn from him are better off for it look at the success that Massa has enjoyed. Rosberg won’t want to be seen in the shadow of his team mate though and he is capable of pushing Schumacher very hard this season.

It remains to be seen how fast the Mercedes actually is and whether it’s going to be challenging for race wins every two weeks or whether it will show flashes of brilliance, if it’s the later some of those must have Rosberg behind the wheel. It’s going to be a hard year for Nico, he’s going to have to work hard but it could just pay off.
