Vitantonio Liuzzi

Vitantonio Liuzzi returned to F1 last season as a replacement for Gincarlo Fisichella when he moved to Ferrari. Liuzzi has managed to hold on to that seat at Force India for the 2010 season and this remains his last hope of an F1 career; he has to impress.

Liuzzi burst on to the F1 scene with Red Bull with a race sharing arrangement with Christien Klien and then with Toro Rosso along with Scott Speed. He was dropped from the team when Sebastien Bourdais and Sebastien Vettel joined them for 2008 and could only secure a test driver at Force India. Now back in a race seat with a good few F1 seasons behind him Liuzzi must impress this year to hold on to a hope of a 2011 drive.

His young team mate Adrian Sutil won’t be caught napping though and it will be an interesting battle to see who comes out on top. It seems that Liuzzi has a new determination about him since his return, we haven’t seen the mistakes that dogged his time at Toro Rosso and his performance so far at Force India has matched Sutil’s in the races that they have both finished with one a piece.
