Ferrari

What can be said about the Ferrari F1 team? They were the force to beat for years in F1 and although they aren’t as dominant as they once were they have remained one of the top teams. Their last world champion was Kimi Raikkonen in 2007 and they picked up the constructors title in 2008. Their italian fan base the Tifosi will be baying for blood if they don’t return to form this year so expect big things from them. Early testing seems to be bearing this out.

The Drivers

With one of the strongest partnerships on the grid they Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa will be two of the drivers to beat this year. It remains to be seen whether Massa can come back from the injury he suffered last season but then would he have got back into the car if he couldn’t do it.

Alonso needs no introduction, since 2006 he’s only had the one chance at McLaren to clinch the title and was only beaten to it in the last race by Kimi Raikkonen, he’ll be hoping that this years Ferrari lives up to it’s expectation and he can add another title to his collection.

The Car

The car started development early owing to the incredcably poor 2009 car, the team have been working on it and developing for much longer than normal so expect a lot from it. Pre-season testing has shown that it’s fast, they just need to keep the development up.
